My Project

There are so many basic essentials needed for school just to ensure success for each and every student. The wipes will help us keep the room clean so germs and icky sickies aren't spread. When kids get sick, they can't come to school and learn. The Kleenex are for when kids (or me) have the sniffles but are still trying to be at school and learn. The band aids are for when kids have the tiniest little boo boo and need some comfort with a fun band aid. The notebook paper is perfect for keeping kids off the computer for a break from screen time. The colored pencils are for creative book projects and the desk organizers will help keep those colored pencils organized. Papers always need to be stapled, and things always need to be taped.

All these basic supplies will allow students to have the things they need to be successful.

Many of my students are on free or reduced lunch so they don't always have the ability to buy the basic supplies. It is so nice to be able to have supplies on hand. When they ask if they can use a pen, their eyes light up when I hand them some fun Flair pens to use. When they say they can't complete the assignment because they don't have any paper in their binder, it is so nice to be able to tell them to grab what they need from the supply closet. It feels so good to see their smiles when I have the supplies they need but don't always have.
