My Students

I am the Visual Arts teacher at Blackshear Elementary! Everyday I’m given the opportunity to allow my scholars to channel their expressions, high energy, feelings, and thoughts by creating wonderful masterpieces. I teach pre-k3 through fifth grade scholars who highly desires to use art as form of expressing themselves! We are Third Ward proud and would love to continue to provide supplies to support my scholar’s super artistic talents!!

My Project

The materials will impact my scholars in a tremendous way, because Visual Arts is a positive outlet for them to express themselves. The materials will solely be utilized within our classroom, because we are face to face this school year. Many of our Visual Arts projects are hands-on and scholars are often encouraged to use their creativity and imagination when creating their beautiful masterpieces. My scholars enjoy doing arts and crafts while listening to music. Therefore, a lot of my lessons are inspired by the music that is played. The music promotes thought provoking, unique, and creative masterpieces.
