My Project

Our last reading unit covered stories about perseverance. My students have taken this theme to heart and applied it throughout their school day. They especially enjoyed reading about children who fought for their rights and Alice Walker who learned to read at 114 years old.

It's time for our class to create their own stories of perseverance.

With the requested materials, my students will write their own stories about perseverance and create an illustrated book. We will display our stories at a "Meet the Author" event. This will be our major culminating activity for this school year.
