Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I have a group of fourth-grade students who are highly enthusiastic and eager to learn something new every single day.

My students always try their best at everything and anything despite the challenges that they face in their daily lives.

My students live in an impoverished area of South Los Angeles. All of my students come from low-income families. We are a Title I school where one hundred percent of our students receive free meals. My students do not all have the same opportunities at home and thus need to be exposed to as many opportunities as possible at school.

My Project

Projecting student work from the teacher's desk is so old school. It is time for my students and I to catch up with technology in our classroom. An Apple TV will be so useful by connecting it to our ELMO and projector. The advantages of having it are so many. Once we have the Apple TV students will be able to share and edit their work through the projector straight from their desk instead of having to wait for their turn to come up to the teachers desk to project it. Also, this device will give me the advantage of modeling work and teaching as I circulate the classroom instead of having to do it from my teacher desk. Thank you for taking the time to read about our project.
