Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students have truly persevered in remote learning. In thinking ahead for next school year, I would like to get a teacher iPad in order to design and test lesson materials from an iPad point of view.

Using different forms of technology in remote learning is critical.

I have utilized my school laptop throughout this time, but I find that the interface is very different from what my students see if they are using an iPad for home learning.

I love to draw, hand-letter, and create digital resources, so using different mediums to create and deliver my lessons will help me better meet the needs of my students both in the classroom and in remote instruction too.

My Project

These materials will help me create and deliver digital lessons to students on both computer and mobile/tablet devices. I am not able to test certain materials from this interface at home (I use my laptop), so this will help me to "see" the student's point of view from my device as well.

I love to draw and I am hoping to use this resource to create doodle notes lessons for my students, as well as digitally drawn anchors charts for my students.

This will be helpful for my ENL and special needs students, who rely heavily on these charts in our classroom and found online learning difficult without some of these supports.

In using this device, it will allow me to create lessons and materials that are accessible and tested through an iPad or similar device too. Additionally, this device will allow me to annotate and provide feedback to my digital learners.
