Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Help give our students an exciting, up-close look at ants: working, eating…even socializing! We are requesting an ant farm so that our students can have a front-row seat to observe tunnel digging, movement, life cycles, working and building skills, as well as learn how worker ants and transporter ants thrive in a colony through hard work and teamwork in the highly organized colony structures.

The ant farm will spark curiosity and promote STEM learning by allowing kids to witness firsthand how ants collaborate, communicate, and build their intricate network of tunnels.

Students will be able to explore the natural world of ants right in our classroom with the ant farm. We are also requesting several non-fiction books about ants so students can learn more about ants and ant colonies.
