Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Most of my students are from low socioeconomic backgrounds, and they are a mixture of Hispanic and African American students. They are also students who have special needs.

Parents do their best to provide the bare essentials that their kids need throughout the school year, but many times that is all that they can give them.

Many of the families have at least four kids in the school. Due to the current circumstances, it is a lot to ask a family to purchase materials when some of them most likely may have lost their jobs. Although the parents and the school community do their best to provide for the children, with the fear of what the future may bring, and the loss of jobs it will be harder to provide them with tools for learning.

My Project

My student population is the most susceptible to Covid. The air purifier will provide a healthy environment for my students, especially for those that have existing health conditions. Many of my students have asthma. The air purifier will also give my students who most likely have anxiety returning to school a sense of security for their well being.

Because of my student's socioeconomic circumstances, they are most susceptible to Covid.

An air purifier will help them from getting sick. This will have a lasting effect on my students because many of them are afraid to return. However, with there knowing that there is an air purifier in the classroom will encourage them to attend and help them focus on their learning
