My Project

Hand sewing and needle felting are super fun ways to get creative in art class! When students hand sew, they use needles, thread, and fabric to craft awesome projects, like mini pillows or personalized stuffies. Not only are they making functional works of art, but it also helps practice important skills like holding a needle steady and staying focused. There is nothing better than the feeling of finishing something they made with their own hands!

Needle felting is another exciting way to bring imagination to life in art class.

Students use special needles to poke wool into unique shapes to create animals, flowers, or whatever wild ideas they can imagine! It is a great way to help them get better at using their hands in new ways, plus it is super relaxing.

Bringing hand sewing and needle felting into art class means kids get to mix things up and try new ways to express themselves. These crafts are perfect for teaching patience, problem-solving, and thinking outside the box—plus they are just plain fun! In an age full of screens and technology, fibers art lets students work with their hands, and create one-of-a-kind art. Please consider donating to make these projects a reality!
