My Project

We are two months into our Afterschool Literacy Program, and the appetites are quite ravenous. With students in grades K-3 attending, we are going through the school's supply of snacks rather quickly.

We would like to be able to provide alternate snacks to students for our after-school program.

We are able to get fruit and vegetables provided to us by our school's lunch services staff. But I notice that at times, students pass those snacks up and would rather go hungry. For me, that is not ok!

Snacks such as gummy bears, juice, potato chips, and even Goldfish are some of the more popular items that my students enjoy. Candy items such as Jolly Ranchers and Charms Blow Pops will be passed out to students who have received literacy certificates from their reading program.

We hope you can nourish our students' bellies as we continue to nourish their minds!
