This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I have a total of 42 first grade students. My students are a loving and amazing group that tries their hardest in everything that they do, even if they do not understand the language. They come to school each day ready to try new things and take brave chances in order to grow both personally and academically. It warms my heart to see them so excited to share what they are learning with each other and their families.

My students love to learn.

They love learning in different, fun, and interactive ways. They love to teach and learn from each other. They love to use things from the outside world and bring it into our classroom to learn. Our students are middle class and mostly from a Hispanic background. Although English may not be the primary language for many of my students they try their hardest to succeed at anything they attempt.

My Project

The testing privacy shields are needed so my students can have a quiet testing space where they can focus on their assessment and have no outside distraction.

This is also a chance to have students keep their eyes on their own tests so I can accurately see what they don't understand.

My first grade students get distracted very easily at this young age and with the help of these testing privacy shields students will be able to better concentrate on their own work. From an early age students need to learn the importance of privacy and taking responsibility for their own work.
