Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

This is my first year at TES and I would like to begin supporting the students with any supplies and learning material that I can assist with. The neighborhood is low income and many of our families have been affected financially by Covid-19. Some have lost employment and are in need of food items along with school supplies and clothing.

My Project

The supplies will be used in the classrooms for learning and projects. The school is primarily English Language Learners and the pencils, crayons and paper will allow them to draw along with writing in order to communicate with their teachers and peers.

The scanner will be used to send communication to staff and parents about lessons and activities to teach our students with their lessons.

The snacks will be given to students when needed when they are hungry and lunch and breakfast are not sufficient.

Our students are from a low income area and we try to provide different ways to fill their needs academically, socially and emotionally.
