This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Could you imagine beginning your day without the supplies you needed? Well, that is what my students' face everyday.

I am a 4 th/5th grade Special Education Teacher in a low-income, high poverty school district.

Most parents are struggling to make ends meet. We have almost 100% free lunch. The beginning of the school year always comes as a happy and sad part. Happy to see new kids, new smiles and saddened when they have so little. This year is going to be one of my most challenging years. With even more budget cuts, our class is facing a lot of problems. We need all the help we can get.

My Project

My students come in unprepared every day. I am constantly providing students with pencils, and we are frequently running low. As for the pencil sharpener, we are on our 3rd for this year, and our current pencil sharpener, is very noisy and disrupts the classroom during lessons. Working with students with special needs, the test partitioners would really benefit my students' in helping them to focus and concentrate on their tests/work.

With this project being funded, you will be able to put a pencil in my students' hands, and have them prepared and ready to focus for the school day!

These materials will provide my students' with multiple ways to succeed in the classroom!
