Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I would love to introduce tennis to our curriculum. We do have plenty of tennis rackets, however we are in need of regular tennis ball and foam tennis balls. The students are fond of the sport (the US Open is played a few miles from our school) but they need the equipment to learn the game.

I believe I can introduce tennis through coaching, demonstrating and having the students practice in our gymnasium and schoolyard.

I would expect that eventually they will be able to volley and play matches with each other. Lastly, I would like to start a tennis club at our school. Thank you for considering this project.
