Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I am a first-year library teacher, I have the wonderful responsibility of teaching multi-levels, first grade through fifth grade. I see the entire school every week.

Our students are spanish speakers who are transitioning into English.

They come from Honduras, Guatemala, Mexico, and El Salvador. Our students are very inquisitive and have a real zest for learning. They also have a tremendous desire to learn English, and enjoy new experiences.

We are training our students to believe that they can become anything they wish to become!

My Project

I am an elementary school library teacher. I teach at a low-income Title I school. Our students come from Guatemela, Honduras, El Salvador, and Mexico. They are very eager to learn english, and love school.

This is my 2nd donor choose project.

We were so blessed to be able to facillate the student's creation of wonderful Winter Wonderland dioramas. The project engaged both the parents and the students. Everyone was so proud of their offerings. Thank you DonorsChoose for the remarkable supplies.

We are creating Dr. Martin Luther King bookmarks, and paper peace sign necklaces for Martin Luther King Jr. day. I usually do a read-aloud, and have the students work on a literacy activity, and finish with an art-inspired project. We are in need of ink for our printers, tagboard paper, tongue depressors, glue sticks, and a tablet for our special needs classmates.
