My Project

When students were not in my classroom, as a science teacher I lacked the ability to excite and engage my students with things like demos and hands on activities. I learned very quickly that this is not how education is supposed to feel. I needed my students and feel like my students needed my ideas and excitement about science to share in my enthusiasm. The telescope and calculators I have chosen will get kids interacting with science in my class once again. I constantly hear my astronomy students asking "can we go out and see the stuff you teach us Mr. Coy"? My goal is to engage my students with the real ways we interact with science!
