Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I have the privilege of working with some extremely talented young artists between 9th and 12th grade. Like all brilliant minds, however, a block is often inevitable. I have been able to help them marginally by showing examples and providing suggestions, but they are in need of better direct access to resources themselves.

Our classroom having access to some reliable iPads would be a great step in the right direction.

The students would have the ability to do their own research independently and allows them to be more self-sufficient. This would also allow them to be able to digitally adjust and work on their pieces as needed. Not every student has access to reliable Wi-Fi, a laptop, or tablet for their artwork.

By having access to reliable technology in the art classroom, students would also have the chance to be exposed to more digital media, such as digital art as well as photo editing.

Being able to some new reliable iPads would help tremendously in being able to provide my students with adequate resources that could help them not only succeed, but also to become more independent/self-sufficient.
