My Project

Teddy Bear Clinic is a wonderful opportunity for both the visiting Kindergartners and the students hosting the event. These teddy bears will serve as "patients" helping children understand medical care in a safe and fun hands-on experience. For the students, using teddy bears as patients helps make the experience of visiting a doctor or hospital less intimidating, fostering a sense of comfort and understanding about medical care and safety.

I would love to make sure all students that come will have a teddy bear to use as a patient to learn to stay safe and reduce fears of visiting the doctor or hospital.

Through hands-on activities like checking vitals, applying bandages, and learning about basic health practices, they gain confidence and reduce fears surrounding doctor visits or emergency visits. At the same time, my older students benefit by developing leadership, communication, and teaching skills while gaining experience in health care roles.

The Teddy Bear clinic creates a fun and educational environment but also strengthens connections between the community and school, making it a rewarding experience for everyone.
