it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
As a preschool collaborative classroom, myself and my amazing co-teacher, Ms. Jones, work with general and special education students to push them to new academic and social-emotional milestones, while helping them develop self-esteem and the ability to persevere.
Pre-school is a child's first taste of how amazing school can be.
In our classroom, we strive to create a community of learners with big minds and even bigger hearts that work as one to reach new levels of growth. As a school in a high-needs area, we want to celebrate every student and for them to be proud of who they are and where they come from.
My Project
Since we started learning from home in March of 2020, myself and my amazing co-teacher have been constantly looking for ways to innovate the way we engage our students in online learning. We work with lower-income, three, four, and five year olds in a blended general education and special education classroom in the South Central neighborhood of Los Angeles. Though these kids deserve the very best, they don't always get it. Myself and my co-teacher work tirelessly everyday to try and change that, but we need more resources than we currently have.
By gifting us with a printer and tablet, you are enabling us to unleash our creativity and provide the very best at-home education for our more-than-deserving students.
We will use the tablet to create dynamic lessons, activities, and learning packets, which we will then transform into at-home materials for our students using the printer.
