Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

About My Students

Xitlaly, Savannah, Benjamin and the other 12 students in my class are very hardworking and science-minded students. They are all very deserving students. On a day to day basis, my students are working together and interacting in order to gain new experiences and knowledge as it relates to science. My students all have their own learning challenges but push through that in order to do the work and learn the material. My students always put their best foot forward and work through any challenge that is thrown at them.

This project will allow my students build team work and work collaboratively on class projects and assignments. Both skills which they will use far after high school. Google extension apps such as read and write or just google drive will help my students who are struggling readers and writers complete all assignments.

In Their Own Words

We are trying to bring technology to our classroom. We want to have access to resources that will help us be successful. We want to have access to technology that is already being used the world around us and outside of the classroom. By adding the use of Chromebooks to our classroom lessons we will be able to learn new skills we can apply in the future.

We feel as though this is a great leadership opportunity for us because we are able to get feedback from our classmates on what we need as a class to be more successful and be an advocate for them and bring those things to them. By doing this project we are able to practice our speaking, listening, and writing skills. When we get the class Chromebooks we will be able to teach our classmates how to use them.

This project is important to use because we will be able use the Chromebooks on daily basis. This project will also give us tools we need to be successful not only in the classroom but outside as well such as reading, writing, working collaboratively, and researching. We will also be able to have access to a lot more information about any science topic that we are learning about at the tip of our fingerprints. We will also be able to show our knowledge in different ways from just paper and pencil.
