My Students

My school is a beautiful, historical building with amazing brickwork, charming windows...and tiny classrooms! These rooms were built in 1926; expectations for teaching were much different then! Now we barely have room for books, desks, and a carpet space - almost no space left for desktop computers!

My students are bright, motivated second graders who ask amazing questions!

They are always looking for new ideas and information. Our school is in a wonderful, supportive community. Our parents work hard to raise money to maintain our teaching staff in the face of devastating district budget cuts. However, there is little left for upgrading school technology.

My Project

Our room is lovely, but very crowded! It is difficult to supply desktop computers with so little space. Having 4 iPads would be an amazing gift for my classroom. These iPads would allow my students to research information, create presentations, and practice skills. With a wide range of learners, iPads would also make it easier to differentiate for all learners. Imagine the possibilities for interactive learning as we study ants, weather, and habitats!

All students deserve the opportunity to interact with technology as a learning tool.

Having iPads will help inspire and excite the learning in my classroom! It's time for my 20th Century classroom to enter the 21st Century! Your support can make this a reality!
