Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are amazing and are from a STEM school. What is unique about our school is that ALL students are actively learning through STEM every day and in EVERY classroom. Our program allows all students to learn through interactions, through hands-on learning and through solving problems.

My students are excited to learn!

My freshman physics is crazy and chaotic with new ideas and excitement. My junior and seniors connect with the environment by understanding how their choices impact the environment in Environmental Science class, as well as being using scientific methods and processes to solving crimes in Forensics Science Class.

My Project

These iPads will help my students for the next SEVERAL YEARS! Here is how these will help my students: These iPads will help my students who are just learning English, these will allow my blind students (I currently have 2 and there are plans on me having several others in over the next few years) to be able to conduct labs safely, they will help students with learning disabilities, the iPads will allow students to have access to books, the iPads will allow students to conduct virtual labs, the iPads will allow students to access online simulations, the iPads will allow me to personalize learning by allowing me to help students that have fallen behind, and catch them up without holding the class back, or push students who are ahead of the class without holding them back, the iPads will allow me to increase student engagement, in hard to reach student, the iPads will allow me to help my upper classmen prepare for life after high school, whether it is for job skills or college preparation, I always have students in my classroom getting help with school, even when I am not teaching, these will help students enhance their understanding. Even though I teach science, students are always coming to me for help with History, English, and Math. These iPads will help me help students with other classes as well! The possibilities are endless!
