My Project

I’m an Occupational Therapist and work with students who have disabilities ranging from difficulties controlling emotions, trouble with processing or being on the autistic spectrum. Improving abilities on each spectrum allows students to take charge of their learning and make the choices that work best for them.

During Occupational Therapy, students will choose software that may increase or decrease self-motivating behavior in the classroom that works for them.

Making sure students are comfortable with technology is an essential component in motivating them. I have noticed amazing differences in my students when they are given opportunities with technology that enables them to focus and complete an activity.

My students get more work completed when you introduce a technology component that works. An updated technological component will improve productivity, creativity and how our students work with their peers.

The MacBook Pro is portable, flexible and will allow students to sit at any location and will allow movement. This will be extremely beneficial for some students who just need to get up and move. I have seen how essential technology that is up to date can positively affect my students' work and demeanor and hope that the additional options will help us grow even more!
