Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students have faced many challenges this past year and through it all they have persevered. My students attend a Title 1 school in Washington Heights. Many come from a low income family household and some receive special education services. I want to welcome my students in the best way possible by creating an environment that is ready to meet their educational needs as well as providing them with the opportunity to use technology to enhance their learning.

My Project

My classroom is missing the technology updates needed to keep up with today’s teaching style. The projector will allow me to display video resources to students who require visual and multi sensory teaching. The use of websites and online resources make tasks and assignments easier to comprehend. Virtual trips can be made accessible to all. The document camera is a versatile classroom management tool. It provides the opportunity for interactive instruction such as read and write along with students. Technology enables educators to accommodate all types of learning styles. It allows teachers to personalize learning and improve instruction.
