This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Having a podium can help students during presentations in several ways.

A podium elevates the speaker, making them more visible to the audience.

This can help the audience focus on the speaker and the content of the presentation. It provides a designated space for the presenter to keep their notes, materials, and electronic devices, helping them stay organized during the presentation. Standing behind a podium can boost a student's confidence as it provides a sense of structure and authority, helping them feel in control of the presentation.

LEGO sets can be a helpful tool for students to calm down and manage stress or anxiety. Building with LEGO pieces can be a form of mindfulness. The act of concentrating on the construction process can redirect a student's thoughts away from stressors and promote relaxation. LEGO sets allows for creative expression. Students can build whatever they imagine, which can be a cathartic and enjoyable way to channel their emotions. The act of building with LEGO bricks involves problem-solving and critical thinking. Engaging in such activities can shift one's focus from stress to the task at hand, promoting a sense of accomplishment.

Taking a break from screens and engaging in a hands-on, screen-free activity like LEGO bricks can help reduce the overstimulation that might contribute to stress.
