My students need chromebooks to be able to access their online curriculum. They need to be able to learn how to practice typing which is a test taking skill that they can use.

My Students

My students have autism. They learn very differently from any other children. They are highly visual and kinesthetic learners. They love to move and explore around the classroom. Learning for them has to be fun and engaging. Using textured materials, realia and manipulatives help them enjoy learning reading, writing as well as math.

My students love vizzle and teachtown.

Both are online lessons that they can access through the use of computer or ipad. They have learned to use the keyboard and the mouse to access the lessons but we do not have enough working computers in the room for them to use.

My Project

The chromebooks that I am requesting will be used by my student to access their teachtown and vizzle curriculum during our small group instructions. They will also be used to practice typing letters, words and sentences to best prepare them for their standardized test when they exit my program. The students will be able to learn how to access their curriculum by going online and navigating through the computer.

The chromebooks will also give them an opportunity to learn a 21st century skill which is technology literacy needed by all children to thrive in schools today.

Please give my students an opportunity to learn technology skills, to learn how to operate a computers, to learn to navigate online by going through educational websites, type using the letters in the keyboard, take quizzes, watch educational videos online and have fun while learning.
