My Students

Remember creating your first work of art in school that you were truly proud of, and telling the teacher you were done? What if this amazing feeling was followed by a look of panic on your teacher's face because she had nowhere to store your masterpiece? That's my life in a nut shell.

I work with children with autism and emotionally disturbance.

They are all so talented and have so much to say and do, I need to help them express it and SAVE it! I work in a school in East New York, Brooklyn. My students' parents are unable to provide there children with new technology. That's where you come in. If only you could see the faces of these children when the are able to save there work and print it out. They love taking it home and showing there Moms and Dads. I have no means to save there most valuable work. I would love if you gave me the chance to do that.

My Project

If given the jump drives and headphones, they would be used on a daily basis. My students with autism have a hard time stay focused on task. If i can give them headphones to use the can stay focused on the task they are doing on there computer. The portable drives allows to save all the students' work. Each class can keep there portfolios of work and show it off without wasting paper. They take such pride in there work and they love to show it off.

These students have so much to share i want them to be able to show it off and feel good about themselves.

By giving them these items you would be giving them the pat on the back that they need.
