Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Our school is Title One and is located in a predominately Hispanic area. My students are faced with many obstacles both in and out of the classroom. Despite all the obstacles they face, I am looking to make a difference in their lives and to provide my students with meaningful, learning experiences.

My students love school.

They are eager to get their hands-on their next learning adventure. They are willing and able to try just about anything related to their learning. They love to discuss things that they learn about and the books that they read with us during morning meeting. More importantly, my students want to be loved and to belong. My goal is to show them that they matter in a world this big and that they are destined for greatness.

"Success is the sum of small efforts - repeated day in and day out". Robert Collier.

My Project

The laptops I am requesting for my classroom, will help my students take more control over their own learning and gain more responsibility. My goal is to integrate technology into the classroom as a way to reach diversity in learning styles.

By bringing technology into the classroom, I'm hoping to engage them within their learning by using the tools they love.

Using technology will help make the classroom a happier place. They will be excited about being able to use technology and therefore, are more apt to learn.

My students will have time to work in fifteen minute learning group rotations throughout the day either for social studies projects or for iReady diagnostics.
