Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I am a second grade Math, Science, and Social Studies teacher. My students are a fun, energetic group of different interests, abilities, and goals. Some of my students are still learning to adapt to this country while others are struggling with their way of living. My students like to play outside, learn new games, and participate in group activities.

In this class, we create different ways of learning and feel motivated to succeed.

Our school is always looking for ways to improve and to make learning fun and exciting for our students. My goal is always to make my students feel as if they were at home away from home. Our school lacks many resources and sometimes I wish I had more access to materials to assist my students with their needs. In my classroom, we build relationships, practice good behavior and morals, and learn to work together as a team.

My Project

Our classroom currently only has three computers available for my students to use. We use computers to read and to take online reading exams. The students also go to math sites that motivate them and keep them engaged. I also assign quizzes for the students through an online website.

Technology is the future and our classroom lacks the resources to provide our students with what they need to succeed.

I would like to use the tablets and iPad when our students break into centers and do independent work. I feel that it would make our differentiated instruction much better and the students would be excited. I would really appreciate the help
