Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I teach first grade in a Title I school where most students have free lunch, come from low income households, and their primary language is not English. This makes math, science and social studies difficult for them.

Despite all these obstacles, my students come to the classroom full of enthusiasm, questions, joy and very eager to learn.

Technology has the ability to enhance relationships between teachers and students. In the right environment and with the right supervision and monitoring, kids can benefit greatly from interaction with technology.

My Project

I am requesting these seven laptops so that my students have the opportunity to use technology and work independently in math with the iReady program that contains different learning lessons for the students in different grade levels, while I work with my small groups.

Curriculum involving technology can improve math skills and your donation to my project will benefit my student's skills.

The students really engage in their individualize lessons. But the lack of technology does not allow them to benefit from it. Sadly they do not have technology in their homes, so their only hope is for this project to be a success. I know my students will appreciate your donation to our project.
