My Students

The majority of my students are special needs students that come from various backgrounds and have many challenges. My students are hardworking and demonstrate the resilience necessary to overcome obstacles. That toughness along with determination is what I love about my students. Our school is located in one of the poorest school districts in the nation.

Our school community celebrates inclusion.

My classroom is about the development of my students into future leaders. I strive to help my students build the skills necessary to improve academically.

My ultimate goal is for students to become positive members of our society. The work we do in this classroom is building relationships, being goal oriented, following directions, and accessing general education content in different ways.

My Project

The Adesso NuScan 500A document camera will be used every day during Reading and Writing. My students are on various Reading and Writing levels. With the document camera, my class will be able to analyze the work of their peers. They will also be able to view exemplary work. The ION Audio - 8'100W 2-Way PA Speaker will assist in maximizing learning opportunities in the classroom. The use of PA systems result in increased attention to verbal instruction and increased on task behavior.

With your support to our project, you will not only help to improve and increase student attention and focus, you will ultimately help to increase student academic achievement in our classroom.

With these items, I am confident that my students will continue to enjoy my class while increasing their chances of reaching our yearly goal of academic achievement.
