Technology in the Band Room!

My Students

I teach over 130 students who all are mastering a beginning to intermediate skill on trumpet, trombone, clarinet, saxophone, flute or percussion! Our students come from socially and economically diverse situations in our rural area.

My students choose to be inspired by music and impact others through the creation of music.

Music has a unique power in students' lives. It can heal, comfort, unite, uplift, inspire and so much more.

My students thrive on their continuing development of new skills and love the challenge that a new song or technique may bring.

My Project

This iPad will be used to help students bring ease to the classroom instruction, assessment, and overall learning in our band classroom!

This iPad will be used to help students create music, show resources, and to help them with assessments!

In our growing and changing world, technology provides so many helpful tools in learning - especially in a music class!

Students will now be able to record high-quality recordings of playing tests so that I can provide them with accurate feedback and instruction to improve their skills.

We have many students who have been quarantined and start to fall behind - with this iPad, we can easily record and edit demonstration videos, as well as videos of class for those students so they don't fall behind due to the ongoing pandemic.
