My Students

I am a Speech Language Pathologist at P.S.102 in Brooklyn. My students range from K-5. I work primarily with students in 12:1 classrooms. I work with students who have been diagnosed with ASD, ADHD, Down syndrome, and Receptive/Expressive language disabilities. My students are loving and full of joy. They love to learn and express themselves through multimodality methods. My students are enthusiastic about learning. They love their teachers and peers. My students are like one big happy family. Everyone is supportive of each others triumphs as well as set backs. It is beautiful watching my students grow both academically and socially.

My Project

I am raising money for an iPad for my speech and language students. Technology has been and continues to be on the rise in education. I want my students to have technology advancements during speech and language sessions. I work with students who learn through multimodality approaches. Having an iPad for sessions will engage my students during lessons.

An iPad will allow me to use applications for a variety of tasks ranging from articulation through expressive/receptive language tasks.

Additionally, and iPad will serve as a positive reinforcement for my students. The use of technology during speech will captivate students attention. Also, an iPad will allow me to play videos and design slide shows in order to enhance lessons.

I greatly appreciate everyone who takes out the time to read and donate to my cause.
