Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students live in the city of Cleveland. Some travel from the east side of Cleveland to come to our school, which is on the west. Our school is a PBL school which uses technology as a tool to be used by all of our students in all of their subjects.

My Spanish classes are very diverse.

Each class has native Spanish speakers, non-native Spanish speakers and students with special needs. Due to the different levels of language skills, my lessons must be differentiated on a daily basis to meet the needs of my students.

My Project

The Chromebooks are used on a daily basis by each student. Our school website allows them to have their own account, access to daily agendas, activities, projects and their own email which we use to communicate among our staff, students and their guardians.

The Chromebooks allow us to have access to the Internet to use multiple websites as effective tools when learning a second language at different levels.

Web sites, such as, Quizlet, Duolingo and Youtube, offer a variety of modes that are differentiated to meet the needs of my students. We also have endless possibilities to communicate with other Spanish-speaking students around our city, country and around the world.
