My Students

My school is an inner city school where the majority of students receive free or reduced-price lunch. Many of the students in the school have different disabilities. My school is a low income school in the city of Newark.

My classroom is a classroom with 6 Autistic children.

These students have limited resources to keep them engaged in their education and skills. My students are third and fourth graders, who are functioning on first and second grade level in all areas. They are fun loving students who have the passion to learn. However they need assistance with technology with their learning.

My Project

All of my students have a passion for learning. I am asking for one Acer Chromebook, a printer and additional toner. With the help of this technology my students will be able to keep up with the times and create books and other computer based projects while in the classroom.

As third and forth graders, my students need to learn how to use a computer so they can help them create projects through out the year.

We have different events in school such as the literacy fair wear students display work around a book. With the computer and printer my students can develop a literacy based project based on a book that they read and can be displayed. Also we also have a STEM Fair and a Math Fair. Having the computer and printer will allow my students to express them selves as well as take some stress off of them so they don't have to write about the topics they can type and do some research with my help or with the assistance of other adults in the building.
