My Students

In this day and age, technology is moving at a quick pace. Kids without access to the latest technology can easily be left behind. When it comes to my classroom, technology falls short as we have only one desktop that is more than a decade old!

I have a full-day kindergarten class with 25 wonderful, vibrant, and active children.

They love to learn and are curious about anything and everything. My students vary in academic abilities, ranging from no pre-school experience to students who've attended transitional kindergarten. It is important that I meet the needs of all my students by providing them equal access to learning beyond pencil and paper.

My Project

Technology is an exciting way to motivate and engage students. They will share an iPad with a partner to work on phonics, reading, and math skills during small group time that helps reinforce these skills. It will also serve as an enrichment center for advance students.

We all learn differently and so do students.

As a teacher, I recognize that teaching one way cannot reach all students, so it's important for me to provide multiple approaches for students to engage them in learning. I believe technology, such as the iPad, can greatly benefit my students.
