This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Our school is a Title I school in Las Vegas, Nevada. The school is able to offer 100% free breakfast and lunch to all of our students. As a new teacher in Nevada, I noticed that my students are faced with several challenges both in and out of the classroom. I am looking to keep things engaging and provide my students with a meaningful learning experience.

Many of my students are reading and writing below grade level.

I am hoping to encourage and motivate my students to embrace their learning experience.

My Project

I am requesting 2 Chromebooks for my classroom for my students to be able to access our school based programs, ST Math, Lexia, and choice centers. The us of Chromebooks will guide my students into the 21st century with the advancement of technology. My goal is to have 1:1 technology in the classroom. Technology is very important in today's world. I believe teaching them how to use technology early in their academic career will produce college and workforce ready citizens.

The Chromebooks will help my students become better readers by completing their Lexia units.

My students need many opportunities to practice their daily lessons on Lexia and ST Math. The Chromebooks will help my students not get frustrated, when their current technology is not working. Your donation will be greatly appreciated and help my students to further their academic learning.
