My Students

Being a library/media teacher with K-3 to 8th grade is a bit challenging without the right resources. My students love to read and the addition of tablets and a laptop would foster that love even more. This tool of instruction would work wonders for our students who are tactile learners.

I have 392 of the most wonderful students in the world, the only problem is that they do not have the same opportunity as others do.

Being a student in a Title I school does not always mean you have the resources that you need for success. With the use of a laptop and tablets in the library will open a world of electronic books and a new love for reading.

My Project

The HP ProBook and the Apple iPads will allow my students the opportunity to engage with the electronic books. We students will be able to download books that we do not have here in our library. I have many students who request graphic novels but unfortunately we do not have the resources to purchase the books that they want to read. Through the use of the tablets and a extra computer student will have the ability to learn about the world at their fingertips.

My project will make a big difference for students with special needs and low level readers.

With this technology we can download books that read to the students along with books that have animation. When a student gets engaged with a good book it will strengthen the love to read more
