This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

The students at my school are passionate and inquisitive in their quest for science. I teach all 5th graders the foundation they need to be successful in science.

My students are a diverse group of learners that include GT, ESL, regular and special ed.

They absolutely love hands-on and engaging projects that requires them to think outside the box. They come to school each day ready to try new things and take brave chances in order to grow both personally and academically. Truly, they are my inspiration!

My Project

Under normal circumstances, my classroom environment consists of daily hands-on science investigations. During this pandemic, my biggest task is to create lessons that students can experience at home. During remote learning, I want to create a virtual classroom by showing recorded and live demonstrations of experiments students can easily do at home. I will be able to make science come alive at home just as if the students were at school. Using the iPad with an adjustable tablet stand I can easily go anywhere and show experiments and demonstrations which can be live-streamed to every student's computer wherever they are.
