This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are creative, thoughtful and full of excitement for learning! They love hands-on, active, engaging projects and challenges that allow them to think outside the box to find solutions! I am truly inspired by their persistence and fearlessness in approaching every challenge that comes their way.

Corona, Queens is a wonderful community where educators, parents, and students work together harmoniously.

Our students are full of heart and excitement and have overcome many challenges in their lives. Even with all those challenges, they warm my heart every day with their smiling faces and encouraging attitudes. Truly, they are my inspiration!

My Project

Our students cannot physically come to school due to the COVID-19 affecting NYC. My heart is broken when a parent tells me their child cannot continue to learn because they do not have the necessary technology. Some of our students live in shelters or have multiple school-age children at home sharing one iPhone. Nothing should stand in the way of a child's thirst for knowledge. We are currently using the platform, Google Classroom and our students need these Chromebooks to do their assignments. Please make a difference in a child's life by making sure every child has the tools necessary to become successful.
