Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I work at a Title I school with over 90% of students coming from families who qualify for free or reduced-price lunch. Opportunities to work with the newest technology are few and far between. I have made it my goal over the last few years to bring nothing but the best into my classroom so that my students have the opportunity to make music the way it was meant to be made - with fun and creativity!

Music helps our students thrive in today's society and we want to allow them to be exposed to music playing.

When given these opportunities, I have seen my students blossom in a way I have never seen before, and I want to continue to try and provide them with different ways to make their musical projects soar to new heights.

My Project

Our students communicate and navigate cyberspace like no other generation before them. The need to integrate technology such as this MacBook Air computer and all of its capabilities is of great value to them in their quest to get their message out. Each year our students host several performances for music and theater. This laptop will allow them to edit videos of their performances and learn to use editing software to create professional-grade products.

In today’s world and with this young generation of creators, we have a need for the newest technology available.

Our students have a thirst for producing content and lack the resources to do so. They have become very familiar with the new trends in video content and with the help of better quality video editors, they can reach their creative goals.
