Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students attend an inclusive Preschool Collaborative Classroom (ETK/PCC). My program serves students with special needs and typically developing students. My students come from diverse backgrounds and have different abilities.

My students have vast potential and are eager to learn.

They learn by interacting with their environment and engaging in learning activities that are developmentally appropriate. I believe in early intervention and providing them with the tools necessary to succeed. By providing students with diverse learning experiences and early intervention that meets their needs, some of my students have been able to exit special education and join their peers in a general education classroom curriculum when they transition into kindergarten.

My Project

Help me to provide my students access to educational tools with iPads during small group instruction. Our students come from a low income community with limited resources.

I would like to prepare and provide my students with the skills they will need for the future.

I would like to implement different learning modalities to meet the needs of my diverse learners with different abilities.

I would like my students to have access to educational tools that will help them practice literacy, math and cognitive development skills. They will use the iPad during small group instruction so that we can teach our young learners how to access the learning applications. I will also be able to monitor progress and provide support as needed.
