Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Remember what it was to be in Kindergarten? My students are active and enjoy exploring. Their young minds need tools and meaningful experiences. We are a Title 1 school with a very high percentage of low income families. While poverty and language can be barriers for my students, I like to create a learning environment that makes their learning fun. As their teacher, I must create an environment where my students can express themselves, but they need the tools to have a creative and meaningful experience in kindergarten.

My Project

These materials will make a difference in my students' learning and improve their school lives because technology is engaging! Students enjoy technology and technology can be very helpful for my kinesthetic learners.

My goal is to provide technology in the classroom for all students!

Some of my kindergarten students have never used a computer. If I could have technology as a tool in my classroom for students' learning, that would be great because they will be able to use it as a manipulative that will engage my kinesthetic, visual, and auditory learners. My kinesthetic learners will be able to touch the keyboard and mouse to move around in the computer. My visual learners will be able to see the technology on the chrome books to help them learn. My auditory learners will be able to learn though listening. My students use Raz-Kids as a tool for reading. With the chrome books, my kindergarteners will be able to use the technology to ignite their learning.
