My Students

The students in my classroom are gentle, sweet, and caring individuals. Their individuality creates a lively and exciting classroom environment that is fun to be a part of. As the teacher of these growing minds, I love to provide them with every opportunity they can possibly have.

This wonderful group of third grade students are eager to learn, all of the time, and crave the attention and education they can get from knowledgeable individuals.

Unfortunately, they are growing up in a really tough world and also a lower income neighborhood. These students are not always given many opportunities to be successful, and as their teacher I find that it is my responsibility to open up as many doors for them as I can.

My Project

The five Chromebooks will be used every day in our classroom. These third graders already have access to a number of useful educational websites and programs, but are unable to find the time to utilize all of it with the three desktop computers in the room. It becomes extremely difficult to rotate 25 students through these three computers to get them the necessary time they need to be successful with these programs. With your donation, these students will have access to the technology more frequently.

Giving low-income students access to new and more technology is an investment in their future.

The addition of these Chromebooks will allow each of the students to access the programs that our school is utilizing on a daily basis. These Chromebooks will be used with programs like iReady for enhancing both Math and ELA skills and strategies. The students will also utilize the MyOn reading program, the Think Central website for Math support, as well as the have the opportunity to do research projects individually and as groups. These students will be forever grateful!
