Technology for Art Students

My Students

Art students ranging from 9th - 12th grades are passionate about using their imaginations to create art.

I work with very good students that have many distractions in their lives. They come from a variety of backgrounds and abilities. I have many multiple language learning students, students with learning and physical disabilities.

The students at my school come from a variety of economic backgrounds. Some have the money to access expensive technology at home and others do not.

My students need more devices that they can use in and out of the classroom that have the programs that will assist in creating.

My Project

With Covid 19 many more of my students are struggling for the funds to access technology at home. We currently don't have devices with programs like Adobe Lightroom or other strong creating apps that we can send home.

The iPads would make it possible for me to check out to students that are not able to attend class because of Covid restrictions.

My goal is to have a small set of iPads that students in all my classes (photography, ceramics and sculpture) can use in class and check out to take home to access apps like Adobe Lightroom and other digital 3D design apps.
