Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are the best. They are enthusiastic about learning and love to ask questions. My students are from the South Bronx. Our school is in the poorest district in New York City. We are a Title I school and the majority of my students receive free lunch. 19%of our students live in a shelter. Many of my students have never been out of the borough but they love to explore. I love to encourage my students to ask questions, look up information and expand their thinking.

My Project

I have 32 students in my classroom. The Chromebooks will enable my students to do research on a wide variety of topics that we cover in our curriculum. They will also enable us to do a district mandated program that has been proven to enhance reading and math scores. This is a must for our students as they need all the resources that are available for them to succeed. I want my students to be able to have every advantage available to them and at this point the computers in our school are so old they do not function. We need your help.
