Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Can you imagine moving to a new country during a global pandemic with the challenge of learning a new language and not having the essential educational tools? This is a dilemma for the students at my school.

Many of my students are new to this country and lack the necessary tools: technological devices, head phones, and WIFI connection this school year.

It is imperative that each of my English Language Learners have their own laptop this school year for remote instruction.

My Project

These three laptops will allow my students access to their Google classroom and the ability to connect with their school community online. They will also have the ability to explore different content pertaining to the lessons taught in class. The content will be presented on various platforms such as Googlemeets, powerpoint, nearpod, zoom, and other digital platforms.

Having the proper technology enhances instruction along with increases student engagement.

Overall, my students will develop the essential English language skills to become independent thinkers, readers and writers. Closing the achievement gap is crucial this school year.
