My Project

My students are talented, creative, and very motivated to learn when they have access to technology. I am a Special Education Teacher with 11 students with ages ranging from 10 to11 years old. Academically, they are on various reading and math levels. Each student has an individual education plan (IEP) that includes accommodations that assist the student in obtaining their academic goals. Ultimately this will allow my students to matriculate through school successfully.

Chromebooks will aid with accommodations for special education students such as text-to-speech, audiobooks, speech-to-text, spell check, and more.

It also provides an opportunity to access interventions in Google Classroom that are needed for students that will increase academic and social growth.

Finally, they will have to access their specially designed educational and social interventions. Students will have the opportunity to monitor their progress and target areas of improvement. My ultimate goal is for them to take on the responsibility of their learning and growing academically and socially. Having access to technology will ensure that this will happen each day.
