I have 43 amazing students that I get to teach every day. My students are working hard to improve their behaviors as well as their class grades. After having 4 instructors in the room before me, they have a ton of work to do. I have a group of mixed interests, abilities, and goals, as well as an ethnically and culturally dynamic group of students. Most of my students come from low-income homes and qualify for free lunch. Our school is a title one school.
My Project
I am trying to get three iPads for my students. I have 43 students split into two classes. My classroom has only 6 desktop computers for all of the students to use. Unfortunately, the 6 computers are very slow, taking the majority of the computer time just to load. My students would benefit from having access to technology to complete their AR test, iStation lessons, research and more. My students have had a pretty rough start to their school year. I am the 5th teacher in the class, but the 1st to realize the potential my students have. If given the right tools, they can reach the stars!
