My Students

This year I have the pleasure of teaching a 2nd grade ICT class! I have a wonderful group of bilingual scholars that are incredibly kind, patient, and eager to start their second grade year! Language proficiencies in our classroom range from entering to commanding, but it is evident that despite their current English proficiency level, my scholars are motivated to learn and demonstrate that learning.

My Project

This current pandemic has forced teachers, parents, students, and communities to approach teaching and learning in a way that is very different from the traditional brick and mortar experience!

These Samsung tablets will be going to scholars in need of a device that will allow them to connect with me and my co-teacher.

Through these devices, we will be able to meet daily so that we may facilitate synchronous learning in phonics, reading, writing, math, science and social studies. Our scholars will also use these tablets to check in with us, so we may attend to their social / emotional needs.

The tablets will allow us to connect with children that might otherwise miss out on instruction they are entitled to.
