Technology Can Help a Student Learn for the Future

Help me give my students tablets. My previous rewarded donation is in great use. Students are using tablets for online learning. Please help me with obtaining 2 more tablets to help students to have the same opportunity to learn. Thank You

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Our school has over 85% of at risk students with a reading performance of at least one-two years behind their current grade level. My students are socially disadvantaged but if given a chance will succeed. Wonderful students that are excited to learn online but the parents are unable to purchase tablets or laptops or any technology. So, basically they lack the resources needed to do so. Our school provided an oasis for some of them; a way to get out and be free from non-supportive and dysfunctional households. A daily breakfast/lunch to hold them until the next school day.

“There can be no keener revelation of a society's soul than the way in which it treats its children.” Society is a fulfillment of technology professionals which is the key to the future.

I love that my students are eager to learn, however, most of my students do not have technology in their homes and due to the Covid-19 Virus unable to go to a library. There is only one cell phone in the household and 3-6 children to share online. Help!!!

My Project

Technology is not just a tool. It's an avenue to support a healthy development in children. I use digital cameras and other technology to enhance creative ways to engage my students in learning.

Teachers and students need to be able to integrate technology into the remote learning classroom as a social justice matter.

We can’t assume that all children have technology at home. We all know what a lack of exposure does to our society; widen the gap, between those with and those without. "Just as all children need to learn how to handle a book in early literacy, they need to be taught how to use technology, including how to open it, how it works, and how to take care of it" (Chip Donohue).
